I am a political scientist and Senior Lecturer at the\u00a0School of Government and International Relations<\/a>\u00a0at Griffith University, where I also serve as Director, Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I study how citizens, advocacy organisations, and public institutions confront mistrust and weak government responsiveness in fragmenting information environments. My research is published in journals such as Comparative Political Studies<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0Information, Communication & Society<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0Governance<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0Political Studies<\/a><\/em>, or\u00a0PNAS<\/em><\/a>. I am co-editor of \u201cLobbying the Autocrat<\/a>\u201c (U Michigan Press), <\/em>and the “Encyclopedia of Political Communication<\/a>” (E Elgar<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I currently co-lead two Australian Research Council-funded Discovery Projects on Public Interest Advocacy<\/a>, and on Mapping & Harnessing Public Mistrust<\/a>, as well as a Linkage Project on Green Energy Transition Dynamics in Southeast Asia<\/a>, in collaboration with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am also Associate Editor of the journal\u00a0Democratization<\/a><\/em>, and an invited affiliate of the\u00a0International Panel on the Information Environment<\/a>\u00a0(IPIE), and the Australian Resilient Democracy Research Network<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
